WHAT to EXPECT WHILE at URGENT CARE
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO URGENT CARE?
Your insurance card and personal identification and cash, check or credit card to pay your copay or self pay charges. Bring a list of the medications you are taking. If your child is to be seen by the doctor, you must bring the childs insurance card.
What if I dont have my insurance card?
Most insurance coverage can be verified, but there are some commercial plans for which we cannot verify insurance eligibility. If you do not have your insurance card, you will be considered a self-pay patient.
I HAVE NO INSURANCE. WILL I BE ABLE TO BE SEEN AT URGENT CARE ASSOCIATES?
We require a minimum payment of $76 at the time of the visit. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards (American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa). We will require that a Patient Registration form be completed and that you provide photo ID.

WHAT WILL MY CHARGES BE?
If you have insurance, the charges are your copay. Your insurance card should list your Urgent Care copay.
If you do not have insurance, the minimum basic charge is $76 payable when you check in. There may be additional charges, for example, breathing treatments, lab tests, x-rays or injections.
When you check out, we will do our best to give you a complete total of your charges. Rarely, a service may be provided, and the charge may be missed at the time the patient is checking out. In that case, our billing service will send a statement showing the additional charge.
Any lab tests sent out will be billed separately by the lab. We cannot provide the amount of those charges, as we dont have the labs fee schedule.
IF I LEAVE WITHOUT BEING SEEN, WILL I GET MY COPAY BACK?
If you leave without being triaged, your copayment will be refunded. But, if youve been triaged, we will bill your insurance for a nurse visit because you will have received that service from us. In that case, we are required by your insurance company to collect your copay.
WHAT IF I CAN'T WAIT TO BE SEEN?
You may leave and come back! You must tell the Patient Service Representative at the front desk if you are leaving. We will note that on your chart. When you return, notify the front desk.
HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO WAIT TO BE SEEN?
We will do a triage assessment as soon as possible after you have signed in at the reception desk. At this time, we can then give you an estimate of how long your wait may be.
WHY DOES IT SEEM THAT PATIENTS MAY BEEN SEEN OUT OF ORDER?
You will be seen by the provider according to the order of arrival. However, patients with serious illness or symptoms will be seen first. Patients coming for lab tests, x-rays, breathing treatments, suture removal, dressing changes may be seen by the nurse out of order.
